Merry Christmas!

As the title says, I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas today! As promised, here is my mom's other gift, the paint-over of Ivy! You may recognize her from somewhere!

Complete with twinkling lights, of course. (Forever trying to figure out how to hide the battery pack!)

I hope you all like her as much as my mom and I do!

Thanks for looking!

My First Painting!

Hi all,

I've been dead for a whole year here again, oops. I always say this in every post and I'll say it again (for filler,  of course) that I am HORRIBLE at blogging. Absolutely rubbish at it! I don't even know why I try sometimes, but I feel bad letting it sit and collect cyber-dust.

BUT, I genuinely have something to update with now! Something I am VERY proud to update you all with. MY FIRST PAINTING!

This is my first painting since attempting Ivy way back in the day, and I haven't attempted anything since then until now. I've painted over Ivy, but I can't post that right now because its become a Christmas gift for my mom, and if my mom by the VERY, VERY off chance finds this blog, moments before Christmas, I would be sad.

The painting I finished ALSO happens to be a Christmas gift for her. I started it as a backup since I wasn't sure if I'd be able to finish the other in time since the canvas is (as you know if you've seen the post for Ivy) ENORMOUS! Anyway, I ended up finishing my backup painting way before due, and then crumbling and giving it to my mom as an early Christmas gift. She LOVED IT!

I also painted this, and am painting the other painting as well, in probably the weirdest place on Earth - on the floor in my closet so my mom wouldn't catch me! She nearly did (the day before I finished, too! Sneaky mom...luckily I was able to brush it off!)

In other news, I am getting back into traditional art more now, especially after finishing this painting! Before starting the painting I started a pencil drawing of Robert Plant, who is my favorite person. In the world. Ever. (If you don't know who that is, I am shaking my head at you!) Unfortunately he went on the back-burner when I started the paintings. I WILL FINISH HIM. I WILL.

Anyway, that seems like a good note to end on! In typing this I realized I do have a few more things to talk about, but I don't want to sandwich it all together, so I'll probably have a bit more here after Christmas when I'm free to post my mom's gift!

Thanks for reading!
